Diamond
Bring your microdermabrasion treatments and facial treatments to a whole new level! At the Breslow Center for Plastic Surgery we’re proud to be one of the first medical spas in northern New Jersey to offer SilkPeel’s state-of-the-art Diamond skin treatment.
SilkPeel Dermalinfusion is an exciting advancement in the world of skin care. This revolutionary patented treatment gives your skin multiple benefits – whether your concern is patchy, discolored skin tone, oily, acne-prone skin, fine lines, wrinkles or sun damage, it’s a proven solution for any skin type.
Just like microdermabrasion, Dermalinfusion thoroughly exfoliates your skin utilizing a high quality diamond tip. In addition to that, it simultaneously infuses the skin with specific serums, which we customize depending on your needs – anti-aging, hydrating, lightening , acne-fighting and pore-reducing, or a combination of all of these. The specialized hand-piece’s targeted delivery system and deep pore cleansing vaccum creates circulation and detoxifies the skin, all while stimulating natural collagen production!
SilkPeel Dermalinfusion can be used to treat issues such as dry skin, hyperpigmentation, melasma, sun damage, and acne-prone skin. Darker and lighter skin tones can equally benefit from this exceptional treatment.
There will be a noticeable improvement immediately! Patients comment that fines lines are softened, enlarged pores are minimized, and if dryness is an issue, the skin takes on an instant dewiness. Everyone leaves with a beautiful glow. We recommend one treatment every 10-14 days for a series of six treatments. Some patients are pleased with a series of three treatments, and then come in every 4-6 weeks to maintain the skin in optimal condition.
On the West Coast, SilkPeel is fondly referred to as the “Red Carpet Treatment.” Celebrities put it on their To-Do list before any big event, since the glow has shown to last from 3-5 days with no downtime. Our Paramus, New Jersey medical spa is one the first in the area to offer SilkPeel’s state-of-the-art skin treatment. Contact us to schedule a SilkPeel Dermalinfusion treatment today!
The variety of diamond tips and vacuum settings allows us to ajust the exfoliation range from gentle to more aggressive, depending on your needs. The treatment is entirely non-invasive, and no harsh chemicals or crystals are used.
Absolutely not! It is very therapeutic, relaxing, and requires absolutely no downtime. Your skin will be soft, smooth, and silky when we are finished. It won’t make your skin photo-sensitive either, so it’s fine to use during the summer time.
The treatment uses a closed-loop vacuum system handpiece to exfoliate the skin. After discussing what skin concerns need to be addressed, the aesthetician will recommend the appropriate topical infusion to treat the skin and stimulate new collagen growth. Each pass on the hand-held piece gently removes dead skin, thoroughly and evenly. Your skin immediately looks clearer and brighter. It is completely pain-free.
Your skin will have up to 70% more volume after just one session. SilkPeel Dermalinfusion will make your skin firmer, thicker, and healthier. The debris from the treatment accumulates in a waste jar, so you can actually see what was removed!
No peeling will occur with this treatment. This patented machine was designed so that no chemicals would be needed. The skin is so silky immediately afterwards that the results mimic a peel, but with none of the redness, irritation, or discomfort that one may encounter with certain chemical peels.
Absolutely! At the Breslow Center we always include the neck when treating the face. We also perform this service on the décolleté, arms, legs, back, hands, and feet with the same smooth, silky results. It’s a wonderful way to treat the skin before an event when a little black dress and strappy sandals are required!

MicroNeedling
Skin needling – also known as automated micro-needling or collagen induction therapy – is a recent innovation in aesthetic medicine for treating the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and stretch marks.

During this procedure tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production. At The Breslow Center we use the Eclipse MicroPen®, the most advanced medical-grade automated micro-needling device on the market. The Eclipse MicroPen® is a great solution for all Fitzpatrick skin types.
Microneedling is a form of collagen induction therapy. To begin our Paramus microneedling team will either apply a hyaluronic serum or the client’s platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to the skin. After selecting the proper settings for the targeted areas, we then perform the Eclipse MicroPen® treatment using a 12-point sterile cartridge tip.
Using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) during micro-needling can stimulate collagen production by 1000% after only two treatments. This is done by mixing a small sample of the patient’s blood with a special reagent. The platelets in the blood contain growth factors that promote cellular regeneration and accelerate the healing process, giving your skin a fresher, more youthful appearance.
Before beginning the micro-needling treatment, a medical provider draws a vial of the client’s blood and places it in a centrifuge. The spinning separates the platelet-rich plasma, which is then extracted from the vial.
The application of platelets stimulates different types of growth factors in the area that is being treated:
- Fibroblast growth factor for collagen production and tissue repair
- Epidermal growth factor, which helps promote wound healing, epithelial cell growth and angiogenesis
- Platelet-derived growth factor for collagen production and cell growth, as well as regeneration and repair of blood vessels
- Vascular endothelial growth factor for the generation and growth of vascular endothelial cells
- Transforming growth factor Beta 1, which promotes wound healing and the growth of endothelial and epithelial cells
- Keratinocyte growth factor for the generation and growth of new keratinocytes
Immediately after the microneedling treatment you will experience a feeling of sunburn, and your skin might take on a pink to bright-red appearance. Downtime typically ranges from 24 hours to 72 hours, but in most cases clients are up and running the following day.
Your skincare specialists will suggest the right post-treatment skin care products to reduce discomfort and speed up recovery, based on your skin type and personal needs.
You will begin to see changes directly after your Paramus microneedling treatment, and in the six following months. Once the redness has cleared up, you will experience a little dryness and then a beautiful glow. The healthier the skin is before treatment, the quicker you will see results.
Micro-needling can be used on all skin types to address a variety of concerns. The most common areas for rejuvenation are the face and décolleté. Unless your medical provider determines otherwise, almost all areas of the body can be treated.
- Face
- Arms
- Neck
- Legs
- Décolleté
- Abdomen
- Hands
- Back
The micro-needling treatment itself does not take that long to perform. In most cases it’s completed within an hour. The actual application of the Eclipse MicroPen® averages from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the area treated and the skin’s condition.
The number of micro-needling treatments required depends on the areas that are targeted and varies from one client to another. The more treatments you do, the more results you will see.
Maintaining a healthy skin care regimen also has a significant impact on how your skin responds to the treatment. Your skin care specialist will set you up with the proper pre- and post-treatment care to ensure optimal results.
The costs vary, depending on if you undergo the treatment with PRP or by itself. We have single treatments and packaged treatments in Paramus NJ that we can customize to suit clients’ needs. During your initial skin care consultation your esthetician will formulate a treatment plan that addresses your specific skin care goals.

Before and After Micropen Treatments

NEW JERSEY’S CHEMICAL PEEL EXPERTS
Chemical peels have been around for thousands of years. It is even said that Cleopatra bathed in milk to make her skin smooth and silky, since milk contains lactic acid which gently helps cell-turnover.
One doesn’t need to be Egyptian to enjoy chemical peels’ exfoliating properties and improve the skin’s tone, texture, and appearance. Let us help untangle the diversified choices for terrific results and proper expectations.

All skin types from very fair to dark show terrific results. Sun damage, hyperpigmentation, and melasma are some of the skin conditions that can benefit from chemical peel treatments.
Acne does very well with peels, including post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from past break-outs. The peeling solutions are absorbed into the pores and help purge out the debris in the skin. Enlarged pores will look refined.
We offer a variety of peels for different skin conditions at our New Jersey medical spa. Some have acids that can be found in your kitchen, such as:
- Glycolic acid (sugar), which has a small molecule and penetrates into the skin easily.
- Lactic acid (milk), a larger molecule that penetrates the skin more slowly, minimizing irritation or inflammation.
- Citric acid (citrus fruits), which thickens the epidermis and effectively attracts and holds in moisture.
These three acid types exfoliate at a cellular level to improve the skin’s appearance, but generally they do not cause peeling that’s visible to the naked eye. As a slower and gentler way to brighten the skin, these solutions can be added to any of our facials.
SkinMedica’s Vitalize peel for mild to moderate skin imperfections causes mild flaking for a couple of days. We also offer the Rejuvenize treatment for moderate to severe skin imperfections, which has about a five-day flake.
During the flaking process a moisturizer can minimize the rapid rate of exfoliation. These are great options for the individual that has a busy lifestyle, yet wants a bright and glowing skin.
One of our product lines, ZO by Obagi, has a 3-step peel using powerful chemical agents for a very aggressive and effective peel. Individuals with a lot of sun damage and/or melasma see very good results; especially those patients of color that often times have stubborn pigment.
This peel also is unique in that the patient follows up with an at-home treatment that produces longer-lasting results than ordinary peels.
We recommend that all exfoliators, scrubs, AHAs and Retin-A based products be discontinued seven days before, and resumed once all the flaking/peeling is complete.
Use a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and an SPF. Vigorous exercise should also be minimized to avoid irritating the skin.
Immediately after the treatment, the skin may look a little worse before it gets better, as it is undergoing changes that ultimately will improve rather quickly.

There is absolutely no downtime to this. In fact, some patients describe the treatment as being as soothing as a hot stone facial massage.
MORE ABOUT HOW THERMIsmooth BODY WORKS
By delivering radiofrequency energy beneath the skin, ThermiSmooth melts away fat and stimulates collagen production. This dual action provides a temporary reduction of cellulite, while minimizing the skin laxity that commonly occurs after fat reduction.
Each treatment session generally requires 30 minutes. 6 treatments are administered no more than 14 days apart to attain optimal results. Patients can expect to see improvement for up to 10 months following the last treatment. A touch-up treatment is also required one year following the last treatment.
No downtime is required after ThermiSmooth. Patients are free to resume their regular activities on the very same day.
ThermiSmooth is most frequently used to treat cellulite and lax skin in the following body areas:
- Décolleté
- Upper arms
